The National Wild Turkey Federation is one of my favorite organizations. Why? Well, because I love to hunt to turkeys (see photo), I love to eat turkey, I support the efforts they are taking to preserve our hunting heritage, along with many others in this industry, and they have one of the best blogs (in my opinion) – shout out to Karen!
I visit their website frequently and enjoy all the articles, recipes and stories they share with their members. I learn something new every time I’m on their site. For example, did you know the NWTF has their own TV show? Neither did I, until today. Maybe because I don’t have cable. it’s called “Get in the Game” and it’s all about habitat management and hunting tips. Pretty cool stuff.
They also have these really cool how-to guides on their site (http://www.nwtf.org/tv_magazines/getinthegame-tv.html). I stumbled upon one that I might try some time soon with my daughter. It’s a bluebird house, and you can construct it out of a single piece of wood, plus some other minor parts and tools.

There are lots more! Be sure to check them out!
